Harpurhey Neighbourhood Project is open to people from around the Harpurhey and Manchester area, and our services reflect that. We provide a safe and warm space for all to deliver services to the local community. We’ve partnered with local, regional and national community groups to deliver essential and accessible services.

We offer a number of wellbeing activities at the centre. Heartbeat exercise for over 50s. Monday 11am – 1pm. Knit and Natter. Over 50s. Tuesday 10am – 12 noon. Card making over 50s. Wednesday 1pm – 3pm. Mosaics Thursday 10 am to 12 noon. Sewing Thursday 1pm – 3pm. £1 each.


North Manchester FM 106.6 is a community radio station, broadcasting to the communities of North Manchester and beyond. All of their presenters are volunteers who are trained at the station, providing a platform and a voice for the local community.


Greater Manchester Tenants Union is a democratic, member-led union, working across the 10 boroughs of Greater Manchester. They organise and represent their members in the private and social rented sector, fighting for safe, secure and affordable housing for everyone. They meet at the Centre every Thursday between 11.30 am and 2.30 pm. Email [email protected] for information, or download their leaflet.


Big Manchester (a Barnardo’s funded project) provides therapeutic interventions with children and families. As part of this, they run a Healing Together course that aims to help primary school aged children who have been impacted by domestic violence regulate their emotions and learn grounding techniques.


The Agency by Contact Manchester offers support to empower young people to become creative leaders and change-makers in their communities. The Agency is a creative entrepreneurship programme enabling young people aged 15 to 25 from some of the most underserved areas in the UK to generate social change projects based on the needs they identify in their own communities.


Salford Foundation is a charity that provides opportunities for young people and adults to create better futures.


We host the M9 Community Choir at the Centre. They visit every Friday from 2.30 – 3.30 pm. Contribution is free. For more information, please contact Tom on 07976 937 560.


There are Tai Chi sessions provided every Friday from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, to help with exercise and mental wellbeing. Sessions are open to all, with a £4 fee per person.
