Voting Day
- This event has passed.
Voting is the cornerstone of people’s involvement in democracy. The ballot box is the place where people get to have their say on who represents them at a local or national level, to take decisions and to act on their behalf. Local government elections will be taking place on 4 May 2023 in Manchester. Eligible residents will be able to vote for one local councillor in their ward, except for Ardwick residents, who will be voting for two councillors this year. Eligible electors will need to be registered to vote. Harpurhey Neighbourhood Centre will be open on Thursday 4th May 2023 to enable you to cast your vote in the local elections.
Remember that you will need to bring a form of photo ID if you wish to vote in person from Thursday 4th May 2023. Visit gov.uk/how-to-vote/photo-id-youll-need for a list of the acceptable forms of ID you can bring.
If you do not have any of the accepted forms of photo ID, you can apply for a free voter ID certificate. The deadline to apply for this certificate is 5 pm on Tuesday 25th April 2023.
